Sevenoaks is a co-educational day and boarding school for 11 to 18-year-olds
Rated excellent by the ISI for Pupils’ Achievement and Pupils’ Personal Development, we are proud of our innovative approach to education and academic excellence, while at the same time providing a strong pastoral and co-curricular foundation.
Our superb 100-acre campus is in the Kent countryside, just half an hour from Central London and Gatwick International Airport. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme inspires an inclusive, enriching and global dimension.
The average points score for the school’s IB candidates is consistently over 39 points out of a maximum 45 (compared with an international average of approximately 30 points), enough to earn the vast majority of our leavers places at top universities in this country or and abroad. Unsurprisingly, therefore, we are confident that those joining our revision courses will receive the very best teaching and preparation for their IB exams.
Sevenoaks School believes the International Baccalaureate to be the best educational experience on offer today. It is the gold standard in international Sixth Form education and has been shown to provide the best preparation for the most competitive universities.
The IB is most distinctive, however, in that it is more than simply a qualification; it is a broad and coherent educational vision, supported by a clearly defined set of values.
The fact that teachers were focused to teach the way "The IB wants us to know" was excellent.
We run revision and review courses during the Easter and Summer holidays for IB students, and students from any school are welcome. These courses assist students with revision for their IB Diploma exams, and provide a structured review of the content and skills covered during the first year of IB Diploma studies.
Approximately 10% of the world's highest point scorers (45 points) come from Sevenoaks School every year.
